What's Cool

For the first time in  over a decade it’s fun to watch The Knicks.  I know its only been a week but this is why sports are fun.  A great story.  A humble, 14th man coming off the bench, cut by two other teams this season already.  This guy is fun to watch not because he scores a lot, although he’s doing that too, but how he inspires his team to play like a team and not a bunch of well paid celebrities trotting up and down the court displaying their latest tats, and funky anti-establishment hair styles.  Athletes can inspire us, as viewers, to do better, to be better.  That has been largely lost in the modern era due to the business and the hype.

Kudos to Jeremy Lin and The Knicks for making a game seem like a game.
